Pilgrimage from the East
Pilgrimage from the East is a legendary event in the history of Nehekhara. [1a]
Nehekharan Legend states that in ancient times seven tribes made a great pilgrimage from the Eastern jungles that had been their home. [1a]
At the darkest point of the Great Migration, the seven tribes were dying in the desert and sought salvation by praying to the sun and sky. Ptra looked down and was moved by their plight, cracking a great boulder in their midst from which sweet cool water began to issue forth. As the people desperately drank, many cut their hands on the shards, offering a blood sacrifice to the new gods - in coming days the Covenant with the Gods would be created and the stone became known as Khept-am-shepret. [1b]
Ptra led them to the River Vitae where Geheb sowed the earth with crops so that they would grow strong and healthy. Tahoth showed them the secrets to building with stone and creating pryamids before Asaph arose from the reeds to give them the wonders of civilisation. [1a]
