Ottilian Emperor
The Ottilian Emperor was one the claimants for the imperial throne during the Age of Three Emperors, the centuries-long civil war that engulfed The Empire.
Overview
This line started in 1359 IC as Ottilia, Countess of Talabecland, refused to acknowledge the election of the Count of Stirland. In the following year she proclaimed herself Empress Ottilia I and won a major victory over her rival.[1]
The claim to the imperial throne was passed on in a hereditary tradition. A woman could rule by her own right and this line produced several female rulers.
Their main rivals were the elected Emperors and the Wolf Emperors, joined later by the Elector Counts of Marienburg and the Reikland pretenders. There was also a persistent personal enmity with the Counts of Stirland which was passed on to the next generations.
This line of claimants officially relinquished their claim to the throne upon the re-unification of The Empire and election of Magnus the Pious in 2304 IC[2]

Notes
- It is unknown if an equal Wikipedia:Primogeniture is the norm in Talabecland; it is possible that the eldest daughter inherits only if she has no brothers to claim the title.
