Skeletons are the basic Undead soldiers, used by both Tomb Kings and the Vampire Counts.1
The Tomb Kings skeletal warriors are raised from beneath the pyramids to fight for their Kings, their existence sustained by the Hierophant2.
Vampire Counts skeletons are re-animated by the vile sorceries of Vampires and Necromancers. Despite their frail look, they are of equal strength and resilience as mortal men and Elves. However, their fighting abilities cannot match either. They are clad in corroded armour, clasping degraded swords and shields, often combined with spears. Their appearance instils great fear in mortals, giving bone warriors a significant edge in combat. Being undead, they can reliably hold their ground even against the elite enemies like Black Guard, for they will never flee and the sorcery of their masters is able to re-animate the fallen faster than they are smashed apart, knitting their bones together until the enemy is sufficiently worn down. 3,4
