Taal
Taal, god of the wilderness and the storm.

Taal is a god of the Old World. He is the god of nature and wild places. He was, like his brother Ulric, a pre-Imperial tribal god. Though he has the primal aspects of nature, he is not violent. Disrespect of the land will incur his wrath, but usually it is in the wild where his protection is strongest.

His followers are those farmers and hunters who live off, and depend on, the land. While there is no formal church or temple dedicated to Taal, there are many piles of stones in the countryside that act as shrines where passing woodsmen can pay their respects.

The region Taal comes from still retains his name - Talabecland. Also, the river Talabec is given over to Taal.

There are small religious orders of worshippers of Taal - like the monastery of La Maisontaal Abby in the Grey Mountains in south eastern Bretonnia.

Taal is said to have a connection to Kurnous, the Elf god of the hunt. They are both represented by a long-antlered stags head.
