Goblins are smaller Greenskins. They are relatives to the huge Orcs and to the sneaky Hobgoblins as well as to the smaller Gnoblars and the Snotlings, the smallest of the greenskin races.

Goblins have green skin, long, pointy ears, lots of sharp and pointy teeth and red, glowing eyes. They are as tall as the usual Dwarf but wiry and have long, bony fingers. They tend to be cruel, sneaky and untrustworthy creatures that will try to trick or kill the weaker or unfortunate -- even other Goblins. Goblins are also subject to a complete lack of personal hygiene. They steal or loot anything from anyone and destroy things they can't already steal just for fun. They have unpleasant, shrill voices and sometimes a childish sense of humor. While many Goblins are slaves to their Orc masters or to the evil, black-hearted Chaos Dwarfs, there are also Goblin Warbosses, Bosses and Goblin Shamans that lead their own Waaagh! against any race they would encounter.

The Goblin race can be broken down into three large groups and a bunch of smaller sub-races:

Some people believe that Gnoblars are also only a sub-form of Goblins.

Any Goblins -- including the sub-races -- are archenemies of any Dwarfs since the oldest records; Sigmar earned his nickname "Heldenhammer" by aiding the Dwarf Lord Kurgan Ironbeard and killing large amounts of Goblins in the First Battle of Blackfire Pass.

Also, all Goblins -- including the sub-races -- fear Elves and are subject to Animosity.

Weapons & Armour

Goblins like to ride on Wolves which they also use to pull their Chariots. They bear small shields and, sometimes, light armour and fight with various handweapons and spears. While Goblins are not renowned for their ballistic skill they also make use of short bows and operate the most, if not all, artillery in the Orcs and Goblins Army like Rock Lobbas, Spear Chukkas, the mad Doom Diver Catapult and, rarely, even looted cannons.
