Wolfenburg
Wolfenburg is the capital city of Ostland in the Empire. [1a]
History
Grimgor Ironhide attacked the city with his horde including the siege engine Big Gork. [5a]
After a famous victory at the Battle of Butcher's Hill in 2514 IC, Azhag the Slaughterer lays siege to Wolfenburg itself, with Elector Count Valmir von Raukov forced to weather the harsh winter behind the sturdy battlements. Finally growing bored of hurling his minions against the defences, Azhag ravages the surrounding region instead, destroying the town of Forstich. [4a]
Storm of Chaos
During the Storm of Chaos it was attacked by a great horde of Mutants and vicious Beastmen who tore down the city wall, smashed its breathtaking architecture and left the once-teeming city a smoking ruin. [1a] The city was first sacked in 2521 IC and again in 2522 IC. [2a]
Following the defeat of the invaders, more than a thousand people live in a shanty town outside the ruins, which are still considered dangerous. [2a]
