Wolf
The howl of a Wolf is an unnerving melody, and serves to remind many of the Empire's citizens that no matter how urbane their town may seem, the wilderness is never far away.

Ecology and habitat
Wild wolves live in packs of around seven individuals. When hunting, these packs often split into two or three groups, so that one can chase prey into an ambush prepared by the others. A variant of this tactic revolves around feigning a retreat in order to goad their targets into following them into the ambush. Wolves are bold predators, and will readily attack humans if they perceive them as weak.[4b]
Wolves live across the Old World and Araby but in declining numbers, as well as in the New World.[2a] Especially large populations inhabit Sylvania.[4a]
Breeds of Wolf
Giant Wolf
A particularly large breed, known to stand close to four feet at the shoulder.[4b]
White Wolf
Said to be sired by the legendary spectral wolf Skoll.[2a]
Notable
- Horros: A huge White Wolf who preyed on the villagers near Middenheim until slain by a knight. He is remembered by the Cult of Ulric, who often pay great regard to those who force them into hardship.[2a]
