Blüdhof
Blüdhof is a town in Middenland.[1a]
History
A baroque bell was cast in the town in centuries ago from a fragment of a comet. [1a]
In 2515 IC Skaven descended upon Blüdhof under the cover of night, Clan Eshin agents disposing of town’s sentries and soon the vanguard was poised to infiltrate Blüdhof undetected. That was until the crack of pistol resounded loudly in the still night air. The militia of Blüdhof roused quickly from their slumbers as attacks from bandits, Beastmen and other monsters were not uncommon.[1a]
A desperate, bloody skirmish ensued and although the defenders were hard pressed, they repelled the initial assault despite barely a score survived the night’s horrors. Early next morning, banners were seen approaching the town, but these were not the tatty flags of the ratmen, but those of distant Talabheim. Dietr Krieghertz, Grand Master of the Order of the Blazing Sun, had been travelling from Talabheim to Middenheim, which was under siege from Waaagh! Goretoof but when his scouts reported that Blüdhof was under attack, Kreighertz’s sense of honour forbade him from abandoning them to the enemy. The Grand Master detached a force to Blüdhof’s rescue and on arrival the Talabheimers deployed with smooth military efficiency, garrisoning Blüdhof’s outer fortifications, the Battle for Blüdhof had began.
