A Captain is a rank held in the Empire State army indicating that the individual is a courageous, trusted leader of men, and in many respects a hero.

Captains are often proficient fighters in close combat and accurate at range. They have the authority to command many regiments of troops, lead units and Captains are often clever strategists.

Often Captains that do not lead an army are trusted with the armies Battle Standard. The most famous Battle Standard Bearer in the empire army is Ludwig Schwarzhelm. [1]
