Burning Chariot

Chariots of Tzeentch, also known as Burning Chariots, are a type of daemonic chariot available to some of the chosen followers of Tzeentch. [1a]

One common element to the various forms of this chariot is that it is pulled by flying daemons and the riders are often daemons. As they hurtle through the skies of the mortal world, they can be mistaken for omens of destruction such as comets. [1a][2a]

Exalted Flamers who ride the chariots are able to draw upon more magic than their lesser brethren, being able to hurl magical bolts or conjure billowing sheets of Warp-magic. The chariots are sometimes accompanied by Blue Horrors, avoiding the irritatingly cheerful Pinks and using the chariot as a sow their sullen mischief. [2a]

A few Burning Chariots serve as a mount for a Herald of Tzeentch and these are often aquired by trickery as it is rare for a Herald to have the paitience to tame and train a disc and its screamers. [2a]

Weapons and Equipment

  • 7th Edition: Chariot is pulled by two Screamers. [1a]
  • 8th Edition: Chariot is pulled by two Screamers. May have Blue Horror crew. [2a]

Notes and Gaming reference

In the daemonic army in the Storm of Chaos they were composed of two Flamers on a flying chariot, pulled by two Screamers of Tzeentch. In Daemons of Chaos the chariot was ridden by a herald of Tzeentch. [1a]

During the 5th Edition, Chariots of Tzeentch were pulled by Discs of Tzeentch and piloted by one or two pink Horrors.
