Crypt Haunter Courtiers are among the strongest of the Mordants that serve the Flesh-eater Courts. They have been given the blood of their ghoul King and its dark magic has transformed. Mordants that receive a pure draught of the king’s blood devolve into savage madness or tear themselves apart in a frenzy of self-loathing, but the survivors are reborn with monstrous strength. In battle, they lead from the front, bathing in a rain of to tear their opponents apart. Crypt Horrors see them as bold commanders who lead the way through any danger and follow their orders.[2][3]

Crypt Haunter Courtiers are trusted members of the court and hold status as well as a degree of autonomy. It is one of them which acts as the Lord Chamberslough who rules over the Lickspittles keeping order at court or Lord Liverbelch who leads an Abattoir of ghouls and horrors from the front lines as well as prepare the royal feast, and test the dishes to be set before the king after their triumph.
