Eberhardt the just of House Holzkrug was the Emperor of the Empire from 2232 – 2260 IC. [1]
History
He become a priest of Shallya but when his father died suddenly and his elder brother’s behaviour became worryingly erratic he was created Emperor. [1]
Eberhardt expended a great deal of time and resources to improve public health throughout the Reikland and sponsored great artists such as Jacopo Tarradasch. In 2243 IC he founded the Great Hospice devoting the small family estate near Frederheim to the Cult of Shallya. [1]
Although he was much beloved as a Emperor, his generosity and compassion may have contributed to the decline of his own noble house. The Holzkrug coffers and Altdorf’s treasury were depleted as he bequeathed tracts of land and handed out generous stipends to worthy causes. [1]
When he died in 2260 IC his heirs did not take the throne, preferring to consolidate the remaining family holdings and the Imperial crown passed to Empress Annette von Telland. [1]
