The Elector Count of Talabecland is the ruler of Talabecland, a province of The Empire. This noble title is usually passed on in a hereditary fashion.

Being one of the 15 Electors the Talabecland counts cast one of the votes in the election of a new emperor. Being Elector Counts makes them one of the major candidates.

They harbour an ancient feud with the Elector Counts of Stirland, which seems to have begun in 1359 IC as Ottilia, Elector Countess of Talabecland, refused to acknowledge the election of the Count of Stirland. Accusing him of bribery, declaring the whole election a sham and supported by many, she self-proclaimed herself Empress Ottilia I.

This act started the Age of Three Emperors, a centuries-long civil war during which the Elector Counts of Talabecland were Ottilian Emperors, leaders of a major faction. They relinquished their claim to the throne upon the election of Magnus the Pious in 2304 IC [1].

Their residence is the semi-independent city-state of Talabheim, Talabecland's capital. The current Elector Count of Talabecland is Helmut Feuerbach who disappeared recently [2].

  • It's unknown if an equal primogeniture (eldest child, regardless of gender, is the rightful heir) is the norm in Talabecland. It's possible that the eldest daughter inherits only if she has no brother at all. Read the respective article of Wikipedia
