Grand Conclave
The Grand Conclave was created to deal with inter-cult rivalry and misunderstandings by Magnus the Pious. [1a][2a]
It meets every five years where the highest ranking religious figures from across the Empire set the agenda for the conclave’s work for the coming years. At this meeting they have the authority to clear up any matter that has been hampering progress and to implement new initiatives. The Emperor chooses the venue which changes every time with the greatest temples and other religious venues in the Empire vying with each other for the honour of hosting the conclave. [1a] [2a]

The conclave is chaired by the Emperor and initially Magnus, somewhat controversially included representatives of the Cults of Myrmidia and Ranald. [2a]
Proceedings
Each of the cults marches through the city providing a magnificent spectacle - each high Priest asking their god or goddess to bless the Empire and expressing their gratitude. The Grand Theogonist of the Cult of Sigmar makes the final blessing before the Emperor addresses the gathering. [2b]
As the conclave meets, there is feasting, politicking and the bestowal of promotions and titles. There are whispered intrigues, affair and trysts as the various cults air grievances, debate with their peers and express concerns whislt Order is kept by the Emperor and his guards. It is only debates of theological nature are forbidden at the Conclave. [2b]
Often the subject of debate is taxation of Cult institutions and property and relations between them and the secular powers. New holidays are announced and the death of any especially esteemed members are recorded. [2b]
