Grudge Thrower

Grudge throwers are simple stone throwing "catapults" that were originally used to controll aproaches to dwarfen holds, the Karaks. During the war of the beard the dwarves were furious at the elves betrail and carved grudges upon the rocks before throwing them towards their enemies. While this worked very well, the practise was kept in later wars against the greenskins, chaos, undead and so on. In "younger" times the Grudge thrower - like all dwarven war machines - were completly constructed without the use of wood because the dwarfs belief wood not to be a trust worthy material for any kind of handy craft (and especially not for the purpose to make parts of their weaponery of it).
