She was turned into a vampire at about the same time as Countess Gabriella von Nachthafen who she considers her chief rival in the Sisterhood having vied with her for choice postings in Altdorf, Couronne, Miragliano and Nuln. She highlighted that the dangerous Adolphus Krieger was created by Gabriella which led to the countess having to spend several centuries watching over Sylvania whilst Hermione was given Nuln. [1a]
