The Incarnates were eight individuals who were each bound to one of the Eight Winds of Magic during the End Times.
Origin
Teclis, manipulated by Lileath goddess of prophecy, devised a plan to combat the coming Chaos Gods prior to the end times. He planned to destabilize the Great Vortex at the center of Ulthuan and bind the Winds to eight suitable champions. To this end he was he instigator and manipulator of many of the great tragedies of the End Times with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of deaths on his hands.
It seems that in order to became an Incarnate, some link to a deity is required.

| Shyish | Nagash | Multiple | Nagash's new body was originally formed from Volkmar, a distant blood relation of Sigmar, and the resurrection ritual was enacted through the sacrifice of the priests/priestess of many other divine beings. On his rebirth he ripped Shyish from the Great Vortex himself, but was unable to fully become an Incarnate due to the impurity of one of the sacrifices used to resurrect him. He then consumed the goddess Valaya of the Dwarfs and Usirian god of the Nehekharan underworld. |
