Kalgalanos the Black

Kalgalanos the Black is the legendary father of all Dragons. ^{[1] [3]}

He was one of the largest Dragons to ever live; his body is said to have been bigger than a Empire Greatship, and his head to have been bigger than a house. ^[1][3] According to legend, he sleeps in his lair deep inside the earth to awaken at the end of the world although the Dwarfs claim their Ancestor God slew him. ^[2b]

Kalgalanos's progeny were in all colors, and were the ancestors of the many later dragon breeds. No dragons are as large or as mighty as Kalgalanos, although the oldest of their kind, known as Emperor Dragons, can approach their progenitor's size and power. ^[1][3]

The Dwarfs name for Kalgalanos who their legends state was slain by Grungni. ^[2b]
