Overview

The Order recruited only from the nobility. It was last headed by Hans Leitdorf, brother of Marius Leitdorf, Elector Count of Averland. The order was known for having a very harsh selection policy where a potential member must train and study within the Church of Sigmar in order to prove himself and show his worth.

The order was known for not using an elite unit of Knights of the Inner Circle, however, the unit known as the Brotherhood of Steel were looked up to and considered the most elite unit in the order.[1a]

Most of the Order, including Grandmaster Leitdorf, were killed at the battles of Heldenhame Keep and Nine Daemons in 2524 IC.[1b] A few regiments later took part in the Defense of Altdorf.[2]
