Kurt Helborg is the current Grand Marshal of the Reiksguard and the Reiksmarshal of the forces of The Empire. Being Reiksmarshal makes him second only to the Emperor Karl Franz, in terms of military authoirty, and is the commander of all the Empire's armed forces. Kurt is said to be the finest swordsman of the Empire and wields the Solland Runefang to a devastating effect. He has lead many military campaigns, as such he is one of the finest Generals of the Old World.

While being part of the Empire Army List in the 4th and 5th Edition of WHFB a new version of Kurt Helborg was published with the publication of the Empire Armylist for the 7th Edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
