Kurt von Meinkop
Kurt von Meinkop is the Master Engineer Commander of the Steam Tank Old Reliable. [1]
He is considered to be the most experienced tank commander in the Empire and one who best understands the original design. Although incredibly knowledgeable, he is also considered to be somewhat unapproachable. [1]
Appearance
He has suffered many wounds from various mishaps and malfunctions leaving an equally impressive array of injuries and scars including a burn down the left side of his face. His hands and arms have many burn scars and he walks with a limp caused by a pipe that broke free and impaled his leg. [1]
History
He was given the Medal of Outstanding Martial Service by the Emperor Karl Franz. [1]
Following the Battle of Kriegfeld Castle in 2512 IC where he and his tank played a pivotal role in the successful defence of the fortress, he was given a minor title and a small estate on the outskirts of Altdorf. [2]
He and his tank joined the expedition of the Elector Count of Hochland to Albion where it proved an integral part of the army - despite initially being bogged down at Muddy Point. [1]
