A warhost of the Lizardmen.
Before Elves, before Dwarfs, before Men, the Old Ones arrived upon this world. Then came Chaos and the Great Plan of the Old Ones was unmade. We are the last of their servants and only by our hand shall the Great Plan be restored, with the total defeat of the younger usurping races.

The Lizardmen are the oldest nation of the Warhammer world. Staunch opponents of the powers of Chaos, they follow the Great Plan of the Old Ones.

Government & organization

The Lizardmen are ruled by the Slann, former servants of the late Old Ones. There are 5 Slann of the second spawning and each of them rules over a single city while the younger Slann act as lieutenants.

However most of the time the Slann are in very deep meditation, giving orders and commands very rarely; therefore the day to day decisions are made the Skinks, who unlike the warlike Saurus and the large Kroxigors, are quite intelligent and mentally flexible.

The cities and domains of the Lizardmen.

Domains

Most of the Lizardmen live in 5 large cities. Four of these cities, Hexoatl, Tlaxtlan, Xlanhuapec and Itza, are located in Lustria and are able to help and support each other.

There are also several abandoned ruined cities besides a high number of holy places and isolated temples. Most of these places are guarded by a suitable garrison or watched over by occasional patrols.

Zlatlan, the fifth city, lies hidden in the jungles of the Southlands and is completely isolated from all the other cities. It forms de facto a separate realm.

No Slann live in the Dragon Isles, and lacking their guidance the local Saurus and Skinks have devolved, becoming savage barbarians.

Society & culture

  • The Slann are mage-priests.
  • The Skinks are artisans, scholars, bureaucrats and administrators.
  • The Saurus are powerful warriors and ruthless protectors, totally focused upon their tasks.
  • The Kroxigors are large builders and workers.

It must be noted that many Skinks and Kroxigors are warriors and that almost all of them will be summoned as such during war time. In contrast all Saurus are solely warriors and during peace time train constantly for war.

Amid the darkness and horror of a world splintering apart, the armies of the true creators, we who were ancient at the dawn of time, will march forth once more.We shall sweep away all that is chaos and disorder, for ours is the true path, and none shall defy us.

Religion

The Lizardmen worship the Old Ones as gods and try to follow their instructions, recorded and kept in gold tablets, as best as possible. Captured enemies are sacrificed to the gods, especially to the popular Sotek, the great Serpent God.

Magic

The Slann are powerful mages, undisputed masters of High Magic. Certain Skink shamans are capable magicians; compared to the Slann their abilities are second-rate at best. The Saurus and Kroxigors are incapable of wielding magic at all.

Military

The Lizardmen army protects the cities and outposts, and they don't have a navy.
