Necrofex Colossus

Necrofex Colossus are huge lumbering constructs of blood, bone, metal and unliving corpses. [1]

In appearance they are somewhat like walking, unliving siege towers [1] and although they can vary greatly in size, they have a similar basic structure. A humanoid shape, somewhat like a Giant is constructed from a frame of bone, iron and timber and its flesh - composed of hundreds of sacrificed corpses draped over it. The sacrifices made have strong souls to ensure that in turn the Soul of the construct is strong. [2]

History

Very few Necromancer’s in the history of the World have been able to create one of these deadly abominations. [1] These include Van Hel himself, scions of the Necrarchs and infamous Master Necromancers such as Sorn Ghoulskin. [2]

Notable

Powers

The Colossus is a vortex of great dark power that provides protection against fire, boost the power of wizards using the Lore of Death or Lore of Vampires nearby and disrupts the Lore of Life and Lore of Light. [2]

Weapons and Equipment

A Colossus radiates a miasma of deathly energy whipping the winds of magic into a veritable gale whilst within the frame of the construct are cages of iron filled with Zombies and whose grasping claws of undead corpses grab for anything who get too close. Should the colossus be destroyed, those undead still intact to do so swarm forth from the shattered hull. [1]

  • 8th Edition: May have Corpse Killers, Dark Soul, Scythes and Barbs, Vampire Blood. [2]
  • Corpse Killers: The dead within seek to grasp and bite any living creature that comes near. [2]
  • Dark Soul: A monster of terrible power is created if a Vampire of Necromancer binds themselves within enabling them to use their magic from within the vast construct. [2]
  • Scythes and Barbs: Its limbs have hundreds of broken blades, spear points and meat hooks to slice its enemies. [2]
  • Vampire Blood: The substance of Ghouls and Vampires are used in the creation of the Colossus giving a black hunger but able to sustain its self by consuming the enemy. [2]
