Nicodemus
Nicodemus is a Vampire of the Necrarch Bloodline. [1]
History
He is thousands of years old. [1]
Whilst resting in his sarcophagus, his Necromancer apprentice Nero prepared to stake him but found his coffin empty, even as one of Nicodemus's creations, a horrific mix of a rotten human head and eight articulated legs called out a warning. He rose from his tomb and was assailed by the mortal's magic, barely managing to disperse the malin energy of the twin beams of darkness that erupted from his eyes. [1]
Nicodemus called forth a dozen skeletons but Nero took control of them, much to the surprise of the vampire. However the human had not realised how strong the apparently wizened carcass actually was but this was revealed when the Necrarch burst the bones and snapped Nero's neck. [1]
After resting for several nights, he awoke again and decided to find another apprentice to study as he had been astonished at the power of the mortal. He realised that Nero had been driven to learn and grow his powers by his nearness to death whereas vampires lacked that drive as they were already immortal. [1]
Quotes
I see that your knowledge of Necromancy has grown to an impressive level, but you must consider you are just a human. And humans are fragile, their life is so easily crushed out of their weak bodies. Don;t you think that in your eagerness to defeat me, you have come a bit too close.
