Nourgul was a Necrarch Vampire Lord who attacked Estalia [1a] in 1750 IC [2a]

He was also known as the Wamphyro of Estalia. [3a]

History

A pupil of W'soran and Nagash who had his own dreams of conquest. [2b]

In 1750 IC he invaded and razed the lands between the Southern Sea and the Irrana Mountains, forcing the various princes of Estalia to combine forces against him. However their combined armies were defeated in three successive battles, forcing the survivors to reteat to Magritta where they were beseiged. After a three month seige, the city fell and Nourgul made for the temple of Myrmidia, slaying the priests when they tried to stop him. [1a][2a]

Landing before the temple on his gigantic Vampire Bat, he entered the temple seeking the Tome of Wisdom. [2b] However on hearing a night piercing scream, the survivors emerged to discover that the undead had all collapsed into death again whilst the vampire himself was mere ashes next to the altar of the goddess [1a][2a] and the book he sought. [2b][3a]
