Rakaph II followed on from King Rakhash, ruler of Nehekhara, or the Land of the Dead.
It is said that he actually subjugated the cities of Mahrak, Lybaras and Lahmia. He then demanded higher tribute to be paid to him.
He was followed by King Pharakh.
