Shipmasters are Dwarfs of the Engineers Guild who specialized in the construction, maintenance and operations of aquatic craft. They operate gunboats, warships or submersibles where they typically operate it with a crew of 2-4 depending on the craft they piloted. Each are trained for a life at water by their elders or other senior Dwarves as such a life is viewed with horror by other members of their kind. They are exclusively attached to their Dwarf holds with the vast majority of Shipmasters based at Barak Varr with a handful at Marienburg. These Dwarves and their craft are controlled by their superiors in the Engineers Guild.
