Sigismund II of Averland[4a], sometimes called Sigismund the Conqueror was an expansionist Emperor, ruling from 479 to 505 IC.[1a][2a] He is known for several things:
- In 501, he conquered the King of the Jutones, ruler of Jutonsryk, and making it the imperial province of Westerland.[1a][1b]
- He established a second province, Lichtenberg, in the Border Princes.[1a]
- He established a third province, West Mark on the Bretonnian side of the Grey Mountains. Unfortunately, none of these provinces are still a part of the Empire.[1a]
- He also defeated the Red Waaagh! by coordinating all sixteen of his armies using falcon messengers.[2a]
- He stopped Norse raids into the heart of the Empire by building castles along the River Reik.[3a]
