T'latl
T'latl the Enigma is a Coatl in Lustria. [1]
Only those it considers worthy are allowed to approach the Pool, even Lizardmen being killed if it does not deem them worthy. [2a]
Appearance
It is especially large for a Coatl with wing span of some 30 ft with pinion feathers moving from deep blue to dazzling violet. [2a]
History
When the Druchii Sorceress Tiriel Rielspar sought to steal the power of the Mirror Pool of Tepok but was defeated by a host from Hexoatl who hurled the Dark Elf into the pool as a sacrifice to Tepok. When Lizardmen came to the pool again, they found T'latl guarding the site. [2a]
Around 2300 C, Sir Julien of Desfleuve was seeking the grail and on seeing T'latl sought to slay it in the name of Lady but now he lies propped nearly against a nearby tree root. [2a]
The Skink Priest Eczli gifted T'latl with a magnificent gold mask, embedded with gems and jade which it has worn ever since. [2a]
Legends
He is said by the Skinks to dwell on the threshold of the world and another realm where the Old Ones still rule the planet. [2a]
