Talos
Titles | Eternal Enemy of the Dwarfs[1] |
Status | Active[1] |
Type | Provincial deity[1] |
Affiliation | Eastern Stirland[1] |
Talos is a minor god secretly venerated by some in the eastern parts of The Empire’s Stirland province.[1] Considered by authorities as unfit for worship, possibly for reasons relating to his title as the “Eternal Enemy of the Dwarfs”, devotees of this god are persecuted just as severely as cultists of the bloody-handed Khaine or the Chaos Gods. If caught, these followers can expect severe punishment, including death by hanging, beheading, or drowning, often at the hands of a zealous Witch Hunter.[1]
Notes
Despite the similarities to the god "Talos" and his worshipers from Skyrim, the source for the Warhammer Talos was published in 2005, and TES's depiction of Talos worshippers being hunted did not release until 2011. They are, therefore, likely unrelated.
