Temple Guard

The Temple Guards are a special spawning of Saurus that are dedicated to protecting the Slann Mage-Priests. [3a]

Their resolve to protect their Slann Masters is unbreakable, and they do so with utter determination until death overcomes them. [3a]

When on duty they stand motionless and it has been known for them to stand a sleepless vigil for centuries even as dust settles upon them giving them the appearance of statues. Even the Skink Priests and other attendants upon their Slann masters must approach them with caution. [3a]

Temple Guard accompany their Slann wherever they go, be that abroad or merely to the Star Chamber at the top of the Pyramid-temple. [3a]

Weapons and Equipment

They are spawned with much thicker scales and an unshakeable resolve to protect the Slann. They are usually armed with heavy bronze armour, Ceremonial Halberds, Glyphs and gruesome trophies. They are protected by ancient skull helmits passed down over generations. [1a][3a]

  • 6th Edition: Halberd, Hand Weapon. May have Shield. May have Musician, Revered Guardian, Standard Bearer. May have Magic Standard. [2a]
