Lord Tenoq was a Slann Mage-Priest and ruler of Xahutec. [1a]

History

In 2210 IC he awoke and and said renew flow, asking for cooler water in his meditation pool but the skins spent the next 289 years moving a mountaun to change the course of the River Quar'makoma. [3a]

Leaving only the then ruler of the city in Tlaxtlan, Tenoq and the other Mage-Priests travelled to Huatl to refound the city. [1b]

In their absence and shortly after being moved from one temple to another, Lord Zhul began to give out contradictory orders, apparently unaware of his previous instructions and grew more and more angry with his servants. [1a] Finally Anqipanqi and his fellow Skink scribes consulted with Lord Tenoq who discovered that he and the other priests could no longer speak telepathically to Zhul. [1b]

He decreed that The mind of Lord Zhul is focused on a far distant place. There is something that holds his attention. The Skinks found that Zhul became confused and irritated when his palanquin was facing the ruins of Tlencan. A expedition to investigate was sent, made up of the first cohort of green-backed Skinks and led by Quzipantuti.[1b]

There he discovered that the sacred chamber was inhabited by a Xlanax (perhaps a Daemon), transfixed by a elven blade. The skinks withdrew to the alter of Sotek and called upon the snake god for assistance against the entity. An aspect of Sotek manifested and devoured the Xlanax. At the same time Zhul also died, having finally won his battle with the malign entity but ascended to become a revered one. The lords remains were ceremonially bedecked in gold and prepared with resin and set to rest. [1b]

Lord Tenoq became ruler of the city and ordered that these events be recorded. [1b] As he was carried away by his Temple Guard he died, babbling warnings in two distinct voices and stating that the rift within the city could be closed by the power of stone and the will of the disciple. [2a]

Later following the fall of the city, the scrolls were discovered and translated by the [1a] High Elf scholar Aradhel of Saphery. [1b]
