This page holds an timeline of the Warhammer World. Please note that this is an abridged timeline. It lists only major events in history, and does not go into great detail. For more information visit the individual timeline pages for each race (forthcoming), or the various pages on historical events.
For the sake of simplicity, dates here are given using the Imperial Calendar only. However, there are other calendars in use by other races. Each kindred of Elves has their own calendar, as do the Dwarfs. Approximate dates will be preceded by the circa (c.) symbol.
What to include on this timeline:
- Major Battles which had a major impact on history. In particular, battles which have their own articles on this wiki.
- The start and end of large wars such as the Great War Against Chaos.
- The deaths and births of the most important characters. People such as Nagash, Malekith and Sigmar for instance.
- The creation and destruction of various races, nations and factions.
- The coronation and deaths of the Phoenix Kings.
- Other very important events that have shaped the history of the world.
What not to include:
- Information about minor characters which do not have their own articles. Leaders of factions, such as the Dwarf High Kings, are accepted.
- Information about battles which did not alter the course of history.
For the sake of readability, this timeline has been divided into four unofficial Eras.
