Tomb Stalker
Tomb Stalkers are a varied group of animated constructs designed to patrol the burial mounds of its forgotten people.[1b]
Overview
Created by the ancient tribal Human - and, likely, Elf - denizens of what would become Bretonnia, these "tireless abominations" stalk between the barrows those peoples left scattered across the wild heaths of Athel Loren's outskirts,[2] particularly densely at the place called Cairnost.[3] Assembled from diverse, resilient materials[1a] dependent only on the whims of the priests who commissioned the artisans, Tomb Stalkers adopt a variety of forms, all fashioned to prey upon the deepest, darkest fears of any would-be grave robbers. In the minds of their creators, these horrifying creations exist only to slay the living.[1b]
The infamous Lichemaster Heinrich Kemmler came to these burial mounds specifically to awaken those within, and in the process took command of the Tomb Stalkers. They subsequently formed part of his specialized forces during his fight against the Wood Elves at the Battle of the Cairns.[1b]

Notes
Its model was made by painting a classic Tomb Scorpion figure as a statue, then attaching mossy foliage. Alternative suggestions were a Dragon Ogre, Minotaur, or Troll.[1b]
In the Army of the Cairns variant army list they are given the Undead and Undead Construct special rule which implies they are Undead,[1a] but the text about them is ambiguous, and possibly only spells animate them, not spirits.[1b]
