A typical Tomb Swarm.

Tomb Swarms are clumps of poisonous and voracious, flesh eating insects that died within the Necropoli of the cities of Nehekhara.1

The mere presence of a Liche Priest or Tomb King animates their empty shells where they scuttle from their hiding places around the mortuary temples and tombs. The Liche Priests have control these insects and can summon them forth in great, rolling waves.1

Tomb Swarms are excellent at defending the narrow passages of a tomb, mostly from tomb robbers who are easily scared off at the sight of thousands of biting insects. Those who are brave enough to enter within the labyrinth of tombs say that the swarms come from the very earth itself, waiting for the most opportune time to attack. The swarms cut and tear, small doses of poison gradually killing the victim from hundreds of bites. Eventually the clothes, skin and bones of the victim are eaten away.1
