Warhammer, subtitled "the game of fantasy battles", started as a system to play battles with role playing game fantasy miniatures and has since evolved into perhaps the most widely known and most successful tabletop battle game in the world. There have so far been seven editions of the game with the most recent released in the autumn of 2006.
