Werewolf

Werewolves are shapeshifters able to move between human and Wolf-man form, whilst a few powerful individuals can shift into that of a Giant Wolf.[1a] In The Empire, the term used for a werewolf is 'Child of Ulric'.[2a]

It is unknown if they are a form of mutation or even a Slann genetic experiment.[1a] Most people in the Empire, particularly the Cult of Sigmar, consider them monsters of Chaos, though some, particularly in the northern lands, consider them the blessed of Ulric, the god of battle.[2a]

Werewolves must spend time and feed in their wolf form and hence are often feared by other races.[1a]

Locations

Some werewolf families dwell in the deep forests of the Empire, often making a living as woodcutters[1a] and defending their human neighbours from threats. Others fail to adequately manage their bloodlust and are a threat to those around them.[2a]

In Norsca, they recieve much greater acceptance in society and sometimes join them in battle, entering the conflict as men and then shifting into their wolf-man form when the fighting has progressed, often causing great fear in the enemy.[1a]
