Werner Thunderfist is a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch, known as Thunderfist, his daemonic name is Tzy'y chy ikch. [1b]

History

He was noble-born but dabled in alchemy, being physically corrupted by a crystal of warpstone he used in his attempts to turn base metals into gold. After his coven was discovered during a family feud, he fled into hiding with several cultists into the hills where Beastmen were drawn to him. [1a]

Seeking a Cockatrice, he found a Chaos weapon in its caves and when he emerged onto a great shimmering plain was gifted with a Disc of Tzeentch to ride. [1a] He fought his way across the Chaos Wastes but he was careful to choose lone Champions or those with denuded warbands as he gathered strength and power. [1b]

Finally he challenged Festus the Fiend, seeking to prove himself by defeating him with magic alone and when he was successful he was rewarded by daemonhood. Werner cast off the original Warpstone Charm that had set him on his path to inspire others, whilst the remnants of his warband created the Chaos Monolith that told his saga. [1b]

Warband

For his final battle he could muster the following forces:

Weapons and Equipment

  • 3rd Edition: Chaos Armour, Chaos Weapon (Deflection), Flamer Arm, Warpstone Charm, Withering Gaze. Mutations: Dimensional Instability, Rapid Regneration, Vividly Coloured Skin. [1b]

Quotes

In the darkness I practised the secret arts. I was then but a collector of charms. I looked to the Lord of Changes for wisdom and Tzeentch found me and led me into the light. I searched for Fool's Gold and found the magic stone. I bathed in the rainbow of Chaos. High Priest of the coven.
