Emperor Wu was the ruler of Cathay in the 18th century IC. [1a]

History

A decorative silk banner of his Palace Guard was lost and found its way to Karaz-a-Karak where two Tilean merchants were inspired to create an expedition to the east in 1699 IC. Finally they arrived at the border of Cathay and Emperor Wu accepted the submission and tribute of Tilea and allowed them to create an enclave in the western most city of his vast realm, Shang-Yang opening up the Silk Road in 1714 IC. [1a]

The Emperor also hired the susbstanial, although hairy and uncouth mercenary forces to help the defend the western frontier of Cathay although they are not permitted to enter Cathay itself. [1a]
