Yhetees are one of the native creatures inhabiting of the Mountains of Mourn. They are ferocious beasts covered in matted pale fur, and live in packs on the highest slopes of the mountains, where they subsist at the most primitive levels.1

Yhetees have evolved a seemingly supernatural affinity with the subzero cold of the mountain peaks they inhabit. As a result, they exude a cold that can paralyze almost any living creature. They use branches which have been frozen by their breath into massive ice-encrusted clubs. When hunting for food, a pack of Yhetees, also called an avalanche, will begin their attack by triggering an avalanche to first trap their prey, before descending to dig their half-frozen prey out of the snow with their iron hard talons, and finally bludgeoning them to death with their ice clubs.1

Yhetees are summoned by Ogres in times of war, a blast of a Great Horn (in essence, a hollowed-out tusk of snow mammoth) sending them a clear message that it's time to prey on enemy soldiers.2

Some scholars theorize that Yhetees are a distant and more feral offshoot of Ogres.1
