A Banner of Avelorn is a powerful magical artefact of Ulthuan. [1a]
When each new Everqueen is crowned, a banner is woven from the hair of Handmaidens and leaves of Avelorn. Her followers, usually her Maidens will carry it into battle, and when she dies, it will be used as a funeral shroud, its magical energies guarding her soul. [1a]
Powers
Whilst the Everqueen for whom it is woven is alive, the banner is a beacon of life and light, increasing the power of spellcasters who use such magics. [1a]
