In 2339 IC Tullaris Dreadbringer led an expedition to the shores of Nagarythe in order to find an artifact - the Chalice of Khaine, lost during the destruction of Anlec by Tethlis the Slayer. Following the visions of the Lord of Murder, Tullaris led his forces through the Shadowlands, wreaking havoc and making bloody sacrifices, and soon reached the Sundered Strand. Here the visions stopped and the search for the artifact slowed down. After two weeks, during which the Dark Elves camp was subjected to continuous night attacks from the Shadow Warriors, the Chalice was found. However, in the evening of the same day, the Sundered Strand was again attacked, but not by the Shadow Warriors, but by an army of High Elves. [2a]
Due to the division in the Phoenix King's court, the High Elves were unable to respond quickly to this attack. With king Finubar settling all disputes, a strong army was sent into the Shadowlands under the joint command of princes Tyrion and Eldyr. The battle began badly for the High Elves, and only the steadfastness with which prince Eldyr and his retinue held the line saved them from a quick defeat. However, in the heat of battle, Tullaris knocked Eldyr off his chariot battle platform and finished him off on the ground. With a madness borne from bloodlust, Tullaris landed ten blows with his draich, after which the prince's body became unrecognizable. [1a] [2a]
Tyrion, beset himself by a trio of Khainite Assassins was enraged by the death of his fellow general and quickly cut down his attackers and charge towards Tullaris. As he cut a bloody swathe through the Druchii force, the battered remnants of the High Elves reformed and turned the tide against their enemy. [1a]
At this moment, Tullaris again had a vision - Khaine ordered him to abandon his warriors and immediately go to Naggaroth along with the Chalice. Tullaris obeyed and left the battlefield. [2a]
As Tyrion fought on, he was targeted by the Assassin Kolhir Blackheart who had been waiting for an opportunity to kill the hated prince of the High Elves. He would have plunged his poisoned dagger into Tyrion’s heart if a single arrow had not suddenly struck him down. [1a]
