Couronne is the capital of the Duchy of Couronne in Bretonnia. [1a]

The city was built on the gently slopping hills on the east bank of the River Sannez but on the west bank is sprawling slum known as the Cesspit which the town watch refuse to enter. [4]

History

The Orc Warlord Durgath Spine Cracker led a horde through the northern dukedoms in 2239 IC and sacked Couronne. [3a]

In 2418 IC, the city of Couronne was besieged by a great horde of Beastmen and recieved unexpected aid from a High Elf army commanded by Imrik of Caledor who even fought alongside King Charlin. [1a]

Hot Springs

These ensure that many fine houses have a hot spring in their basement but more importantly that the waters of the river never freezes giving the city a ice-free port all year round. [4]

Locations

  • Lion Ring: A oval horseracing stadium and whose foundations are ancient. [2a]
  • Temple of Shallya: The Premier temple of the goddess in the Old World to which pilgrims come from every human nation. [2a][4]
