Dark Elf Fleet
The Dark Elf Fleet, also known as the Dark Fleet is built around the great Black Arks. [1a]
Air Power
The vast Black Arks contain many monsters inlcuding Manticores which are ridden into battle by Dark Elf Lords. In naval actions they are able to swoop down and tear apart the enemy crew or drop huge barbed spheres of meteoric iron known as Deathfist to inflict massive damage on their vessels. [3a] In addition, Sky Reaper Bolt Throwers are mounted on Dark Elf vessels and are able to fill the sky with barbed bolts if they are threatened by enemy flyers. [3b]
Creatures from the Depths
Dark Elf Beastmasters raise vast monsters from the depths including Kraken and Sea Serpents, upon which great towers and fortifications are raised. [1a]
Ship Types
- Black Ark: Each is a floating fortress-city, warded by sorcery and carrying an entire army of Corsairs. [1a][2a]
- Death Fortress: Large castles mounted on Sea Dragons that usually lair with a Black Ark. [2b]
- Doomreaver: Smaller warships pulled by Helldrakes. [2b]
- Skiffs. [1a]
- War Galleys: propelled by slaves used to bring warriors to shore or board enemy vessels. [1a]
Slaves and plunder
On tenth of the loot captured by a Corsair belongs to them, [1a] whilst one in every ten slaves returned to their home is given to the Cult of Khaine to be sacrficed. [1b]
