The Elector Count of Reikland is the ruler of Reikland, arguably the most important province of The Empire. This noble title is usually passed on in a hereditary fashion.
Being of the fifteen Electors the counts of Reikland cast one of the votes in the election of a new Emperor. Being Elector Counts makes them one of the major candidates, as evidenced by the current Emperor, Karl Franz. They were also counted among the major candidates during the Age of Three Emperors.
They reside the in the semi-independent city-state of Altdorf. The current Emperor and Elector Count of Reikland is Karl Franz.[1][2]
