Florin d'Artaud is a famous adventurer from Bretonnia. [1a]
He owned a tavern in Bordeleaux, the Lizards Head [1b] but it was burnt down by his competitors, he nearly died rescuing one of the barmaids, Nelly from the building. His severe burns were healed by a strigany healer enlisted by his servant, Loorenzo for the huge sum of 1240 Gold Crowns, all of their money. [1c]
Monsieur Mordicio, who turned out to be the uncle of Nelly, was grateful and introduced him to the Comtesse Hansebourg who wished Florin to find and return her daughter Katerina de Hansebourg from the Ogre Kingdoms. [1d]
