Galleon

Galleons are powerful ships of the Bretonnian Fleet. [1a]

A Bretonnian fleet is normally led by a Galleon, a huge vessel and good match for the Great Ships of the Empire. Although large ships, they are actually relatively fast and agile, a tribute as much to their crews as their design. Volunteers man the vessels, forming an elite crew often commanded by flamboyant, dashing captains. [1a]

Construction

Each Galleon is built with specially selected oak timbers in the King's shipyard - the laying of the keel itself is a religious event and a holiday is declared when the ship is finally launched. [1a]
