Incarnate Elemental
The Incarnate Elementals are the walking embodiment of various Winds of Magic. [1a]
Each are manifestations of limited sentience but who embody the characteristics of a particular magical wind.[1a]
Only three Incarnates have been properly documented, with codified summoning rituals recorded to conjure them by the Colleges of Magic in the Empire. They are the Incarnates of Fire, Death, and Beasts who can be summoned by battle wizards of the Amber, Bright, and Amethyst Colleges after lengthy and complicated ritual at specific arcane fulcrums, magically saturated environments or ritual sites. On occasion however, these monstrous elementals manifest independently at places where concentrations of a particular wind are abundant. [1a]
It is likely that there are elementals of the other winds as sailors have reported seeing creatures formed purely out of water whilst the Ungols and Hobgoblins tell of Wind Daemons. Ifrits said to haunt southern deserts also resemble elementals and the Gospodars of Kislev speak of their gods manifesting as massive Elemental Bears formed of rock and ice. [1a] Sea Elementals, creatures made of living water that are created when Ghyran becomes highly concentrated in a marine environment, have been speculated to be Incarnate Elementals. [2a]
