Shahid ben Alcazzar
Prince Shahid ben Alcazzar, the Red Fox was the ruler of Bhagar in Nehekhara, the first of his name. [1c]
History
In the 62nd year of Qu'aph the Cunning (-1750 IC), [1a] he pledged his warriors to aid King Akhmen-hotep in his war against Nagash. [1b] He led 4000 horsemen, arriving in time to assist against Arkhan the Black's heavy cavalry [1c] but the allies were defeated by the dark sorcery Nagash unleashed. [1d]
As they retreated, he and his warriors carried out a effective campaign to harry the enemy, ambushing them on many occasions and dismembering and burning those that were undead. [1d] In response, Arkhan led his forces directly against the city but despite pushing his warriors, living and dead relentlessly still found himself confronted by most of their remaining cavalry, some 3000 in total. [1e]
The battle was brutal but eventually the riders began to fall and the hierophant of Khsar himself was slain. When these men rose again to fight their kinfolk, Prince Shahid surrendered, offering any price to ensure the survival of his people. [1f] As he watched, the people of the city were rounded up and enslaved, then Arkhan sacrificed the horses, the Prince and his chieftains and their families in a ritual that sent their souls to the Black Pyramid of Nagash.
