Sigmar's Sons
The Sigmar's Sons are a devout regiment of Empire Swordsmen. [1a]
Filled with faith, the Sons often boast that they are as skilled in battle as any knight. It is traditional for members of the regiment to have the hammer of Sigmar tattoed on their chest and some go much further, having scenes from the life of the god inscribed upon their body. [1a]
History
Originally a 80 strong regiment called the Red Masquers, they fought alongside Volkmar the Grim in the north against the forces of Chaos. The Grand Theogonist was greatly impressed by their bravery, renaming them Sigmar's Sons to honour their refusal to retreat in the face of the baying hordes. [1a]
When a crusade was gathered to march into Sylvania under Volkmar, they were the first regiment to be mustered by the Kriegsmarshal of Talabecland. [1a]
